The right entry pointfor where you are now.
Every engagement starts with the same question: what does your business actually need right now? Not what a vendor wants to sell you, not what your competitor is doing. What does your specific operation need to redesign, simplify, and grow with intention?
Six ways in.

What This Session Covers
We spend the first 20 minutes mapping the single biggest friction point in your current operations. The next 30 minutes challenge the assumptions underneath it. The final 10 minutes produce a clear, actionable next step, whether that is a deeper audit, a specific redesign target, or simply a sharper way of thinking about a problem you have been approaching incorrectly.
What You Walk Away With
- A clear diagnosis of your most pressing operational constraint
- Challenged assumptions about what is actually causing the problem
- A specific, prioritised recommendation for what to address first
- A written summary of key insights and next steps within 24 hours
This Is Right for You If
You have a specific business challenge that feels stuck. You are unsure whether you need a full consultant engagement or just a sharper perspective. You want an expert second opinion before committing to a larger initiative. Or you want to test whether our approach resonates with how you think about your business before going further.
What This Audit Covers
We begin by gathering context on your team structure, key workflows, known pain points, and growth objectives. Then we go deeper, observing and interviewing the people actually doing the work. This is where the gap between the org chart and reality becomes visible.
Intake and Context
Team structure, workflows, pain points, and growth objectives documented before we begin.
Shadow and Map
Observe and interview the people doing the work. The gap between intention and reality becomes visible here.
Challenge and Diagnose
Every process is questioned. Why does this exist? What would break if it stopped? Who owns the outcome?
Report and Roadmap
A detailed written report identifying inefficiencies, root causes, and a prioritised roadmap for what to address first.
What You Walk Away With
- A detailed map of how work actually flows through your business
- Every significant inefficiency identified and root-cause diagnosed
- A prioritised list of what to eliminate, simplify, or redesign
- A phased roadmap for operational improvement
This Is Right for You If
You suspect there is significant operational drag in your business but cannot pinpoint exactly where it lives. You are preparing for a growth phase and want to fix foundations before you scale. You are considering AI implementation and want to know where it would genuinely add value rather than just adding cost.
What Gets Redesigned
We work through your core operational systems methodically. Decision-making structures, team workflows, information flows, reporting cadences, customer touchpoints, and the handoffs between departments that silently create most of your operational drag. Each system is rebuilt with clarity, ownership, and AI-readiness as the core design principles.
Sprint Deliverables
- Fully documented redesigned operational architecture
- Process maps for every redesigned workflow
- AI integration plan with specific tool recommendations
- Team role clarity document and transition guide
- 30-day implementation roadmap with measurable milestones
This Is Right for You If
You have completed a Factory Floor Audit and have a clear picture of what needs to change. You are ready to move from diagnosis to action. You want a business that can grow, delegate, and eventually run with meaningful AI support, without adding headcount every time the workload increases.
The Growth Problem We Solve
Growth is supposed to feel like momentum. For most businesses, it starts to feel like pressure. The processes that worked at ten people break at thirty. The decisions that were fast when the founder knew everything slow to a crawl when they don't. We redesign the operational foundation so your business can grow without those pressures becoming permanent structural damage.
What This Engagement Covers
- Growth stage operational diagnostic
- Scalability assessment across all core systems
- Decision-making architecture redesign for a growing team
- Team structure and role clarity as headcount increases
- AI implementation roadmap calibrated to your growth trajectory
This Is Right for You If
Your business is growing but it is starting to feel harder than it should. Decisions are slower, handoffs are breaking down, and the founder or leadership team is becoming the bottleneck on everything important. You are adding revenue but not yet adding the clarity and structure that allows growth to feel sustainable rather than stressful.
Scope of Transformation
Enterprise engagements are scoped individually because no two large organisations have the same structure, culture, or transformation requirement. We typically work across multiple departments, engage with leadership teams at every level, and deliver in phases that allow the organisation to absorb and implement change without operational disruption.
What Enterprise Engagement Includes
- C-suite and leadership team alignment workshops
- Cross-departmental operational diagnostic
- AI readiness assessment and governance framework
- Phased redesign and implementation planning
- Workforce transition and change management support
This Is Right for You If
You lead an established organisation that is starting to feel the competitive pressure of businesses that have designed their operations around AI from the ground up. Incremental improvements are no longer enough. The transformation required is cultural and structural, not just operational, and you need a partner with the experience and directness to lead that conversation at the executive level.
Workshop Formats Available
- AI Foundations for Leadership Teams - half-day session building strategic AI literacy for executives making decisions about AI without needing to be technical
- Systems Thinking for Operators - full-day workshop teaching teams to identify, challenge, and redesign their own processes
- AI Readiness Sprint - two-day intensive taking a team from AI-curious to AI-ready with a concrete implementation plan
Who These Are Designed For
Leadership teams navigating an AI strategy decision. Operations managers who need their teams aligned before a redesign begins. HR leaders managing workforce transitions. Conference organisers looking for a speaker who speaks from operational experience rather than theory. If your team needs to think differently about AI before they can act differently, this is where it starts.
What You Walk Away With
- A shared language around AI and operational redesign across your team
- Practical frameworks your team can apply immediately
- A clear picture of your organisation's AI readiness and gaps
- Momentum and alignment to move forward with confidence

Do I need a Factory Floor Audit before a Redesign Sprint?
In almost every case, yes. The Redesign Sprint is built on the diagnostic clarity that the Audit produces. Without an accurate map of how work actually flows, any redesign is based on assumptions rather than reality. If you already have a detailed operational audit from another source, we can review it and assess whether it provides sufficient foundation.
We are based outside South Africa. Can you still work with us?
Yes. The majority of our diagnostic and advisory work is conducted remotely. For engagements that benefit from on-site presence, we are available for international travel. This is discussed and scoped during the initial conversation.
How quickly will we see results?
The Factory Floor Audit typically produces immediate clarity and quick wins simply by naming what has been invisible. Clients regularly identify and eliminate low-value work within weeks of the audit. Full operational redesign results typically become measurable within 60 to 90 days of implementation.
What industries do you work with?
Our methodology is industry-agnostic because the core problem, work that has accumulated without design, exists in every sector. We have worked across professional services, retail, logistics, technology, financial services, and education. What matters more than industry is organisational maturity and leadership readiness to do the honest work that redesign requires.
Do you implement the AI tools yourselves?
We design the AI strategy and provide specific, vendor-independent tool recommendations. For implementation, we either guide your internal team or, through our network in The TAFEL Collective, connect you with the right specialist for your technical requirements. We have no platform partnerships, which means our recommendations are based entirely on what is right for your business.
